Loftus-Cheek becomes Potter’s first choice to replace Reece James
Graham Potter seems to have decided that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will take over for Reece James as the right-wing back.
The defender played a similar role for Thomas Tuchel during the previous season. Even though Potter has tried other choices, it looks like he has picked Ruben, who has filled in for James twice in recent games.
Loftus-Cheek has a good chance at playing time because Malo Gusto won’t be there until the summer to do the same job as he will. So, Loftus-Cheek is doing a great job filling in for Malo Gusto for the time being. He isn’t very good at playing defence, but when the team is attacking, he shines.
James will be treated with the greatest care, and he won’t play in three games in a row until he proves that his body can handle it.

This should give RLC a lot more room to grow and show teams that might be interested in getting him this summer that he still has skills in addition to his ability to adapt.
