Lionel Messi breaks another record after PSG’s win on Saturday

Lionel Messi, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, became the first player to reach 300 assists in a league on Saturday. This broke a record that had been set by another player.

Lionel Messi reached his goal by helping his partner Kylian Mbappe score the winning goal in the final seconds of their 2-1 win over Brest in the French Ligue 1 game on Saturday.

By the way, Messi helped Ronaldinho score and got his first assist for Barcelona in 2005, when Ronaldinho wore the number 30 jersey. This was the first of many goals Messi would help Ronaldinho score throughout his career.

In 2023, the Argentina captain gave Mbappe the 300th assist of his professional career.

Lionel Messi’s pass to Mbappe in the last second of the game at the Stade Francis-Le Blé helped PSG beat Brest. After getting the ball and getting out of the offside trap, Mbappe went around Marco Bizot and scored into an empty net.
