Joao Felix serious injury scare leads to angry VAR complaints from Chelsea against Leicester

Since making his team debut in January, Joao Felix has made a big difference right away, but as he has done so, the forward has run into more and more problems.

After a “disgusting” hit on Joao Felix went unpunished by both the judge on the field and the VAR, many Chelsea fans took to social media to express their disappointment. It was said that the 23-year-old player wanted to join Arsenal during the January deal window. Instead, he signed with the west London team after Chelsea FC also showed interest in him.

It is thought that Felix’s use by Atletico Madrid through the end of this season cost Chelsea about 9 million pounds. Even though the forward has only played a few times, Todd Boehly seems to have gotten the most value for his money.

This season, the Portugal player has played in eight games for Graham Potter’s team. During those eight games, he has directly helped score one goal. Felix has always been a strong player for the team and a threat to the other teams. Putting him on the ground has often been the only way for some of his opponents to stop him.

During Saturday’s game between Chelsea and Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, Ricardo Pereira was seen hitting Felix in a “disgusting” way. The Leicester defender tried to hit the Portuguese star’s ankle with the bottom of his foot, making him look like he was in a lot of pain.

Andre Marriner, the official on the field, and the video assistant referee, who didn’t seem to do a check, both said that Pereira’s hit was not a foul.
