Chelsea eyes Kovacic replacement that would be perfect match with Enzo Fernandez

Luke Edwards of the Daily Telegraph says that Chelsea is still interested in Bruno Guimaraes, who plays for Newcastle United.

The writer says that the Blues wanted to buy the Brazilian during the transfer window in January, and it’s possible that they will look at the situation again in the summer.

Even though some of them think it’s very unlikely that the player will ever leave St. James’ Park, Guimaraes has a lot of Twitter friends who want him to move.

Mateo Kovacic’s current contract at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end in about a year, so it looks like the club is making plans for a possible replacement.

Guimares has many skills that are similar to those of Kovacic, which is true. He has a better-than-average range when he throws and is a good ball player. He is also hard to push.

But it’s not clear if he’s an attainable goal or not since Newcastle is sure to turn down any offer for one of their best players. It will be very important to hear what he thinks about extending his deal with the Magpies.
