Three Arsenal players missing as Gabriel Jesus returns

Gabriel Jesus, an attacker for Arsenal, worked out with the team on Wednesday to prepare for Thursday’s Europa League game against Sporting CP.

Some well-known people who weren’t there were Leandro Trossard, Eddie Nketiah, and Kieran Tierney.

Jesus had knee surgery in December last year. Since the World Cup, he hasn’t played for Arsenal.

The Brazil international, on the other hand, is getting closer to coming back. On Wednesday, before their trip to Lisbon, he worked out with his Arsenal teammates.

On Wednesday night, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is likely to say whether or not Jesus will be able to play in any way in Thursday’s Europa League game.

Trossard, Nketiah, and Tierney are all hurt, so they won’t be going to Portugal with Arteta’s team.

Due to a problem with his foot, Nketiah couldn’t work out on Wednesday and missed the win over Bournemouth. In the first half, Trossard got hurt in the groin and had to be replaced.

Tierney had only started two games for Arsenal in 2023. He won’t be able to play against Sporting because he is sick.
