Paul Scholes, a club legend, said that Wout Weghorst doesn’t have the talent to play for Manchester United after the Red Devils were embarrassed by Liverpool 7-0 in the Premier League on Sunday.
Weghorst has started 14 games for Manchester United since he moved there on loan in January, but he has only scored one goal.
The Dutch international was given the number 10 spot to start against Liverpool last weekend. He struggled to make an impact, though and was eventually taken out of the game in the 58th minute.
Scholes told Premier League productions that Weghorst “is in the team to be a defence, really.”
