“Mbappe is better than Messi and Neymar” – PSG fans on Twitter

Lionel Messi and Neymar started for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), but the team lost to Bayern Munich by a score of 1-0, which made fans go crazy on Twitter. Mbappe came into the game as a substitute. The first leg of the round of 16 matches for the UEFA Champions League took place at the Parc des Princes. The Parisians couldn’t really attack the Bavarians in a dangerous way. Messi tried many of his signature darting sprints, but he couldn’t pull them off well.

Warren Zaire-Emery, who made history by being the youngest player ever to play in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, was very active until Fabian Ruiz came on as a substitute.

The young player beat Alphonso Davies. Even so, the Brazilian star attracted a lot of attention. In the 63rd minute, Kingsley Coman scored the first goal of the game. This broke the tie. When Alphonso Davies made his beautiful cross, the French player was hiding on the far post. Coman ended the game with a volley that Gianluigi Donnarumma couldn’t stop on the first try.

On the other hand, the Italian guard might have done a better job. Still, Coman’s finish, which he used to score a goal against his old team, is worthy of praise. With Mbappe on the field, Christophe Galtier’s team no longer had a big advantage. Bayern’s defence looked weak throughout the whole game. Even though he scored a goal, the player who would go on to win the Golden Boot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup was ruled to be offside. Nuno Mendes was offside the whole time the goal was being made.

Messi wasn’t able to make a big difference in the outcome of the game. With a header from the middle of the defence, Marquinhos came close to scoring. Benjamin Pavard was sent off after getting two yellow cards for tackling Lionel Messi in the last few seconds of the game.

PSG hasn’t done well in the UEFA Champions League, even though they have players like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi.

In the tournament the year before, Real Madrid beat them in the round of 16 and sent them home. This season, the team led by Christophe Galtier finished second in their group, just behind Benfica. With the way things are going, they may be out again in the round of 16. If they want to make it to the quarterfinals, their play will have to change dramatically.
