“It’s a shame, too bad” – Koulibaly tells Thomas Tuchel

Kalidou Koulibaly, who plays centre defence for Chelsea, has said that he loves the club’s former manager, Thomas Tuchel.

Koulibaly thanked Tuchel for his important part in his move from Napoli to Chelsea last year. He went on to say that it was terrible that they couldn’t play at Stamford Bridge together for a long time.

Keep in mind that Koulibaly moved from Napoli to Chelsea in the summer of 2022. At the same time, Chelsea, led by co-owner Todd Boehly and after losing the Champions League to Dinamo Zagreb, fired Tuchel in September.

In an interview with Bein Sport, the Senegalese football player said, “I had the chance to play against him.”

When he was in Paris, there was a game between Napoli and PSG. Then there were two sketches. During our talk after the game, he told me how happy he was for me. He told me I was the best player on the team. After that, he tried, again and again, to get me to join PSG.

The defender said, “It did happen at Chelsea, but it didn’t happen here.” It was fun to work with him because he was so full of energy and hope. It’s too bad it didn’t last long. But he was a big reason why Chelsea hired me, so I owe him a debt of gratitude.
