Chelsea to hire Champions League winner to replace Graham Potter?

Christian Falk spoke with CaughtOffside, and said that Chelsea might hire Hansi Flick to replace Graham Potter as manager.

The manager, who used to work for Brighton, is under more pressure than ever because of how poorly the team has started the season.

Since he came back to domestic football, he has only won two games, which is a problem. It’s likely that the owners will judge him more harshly after the January transfer window has closed.

The Blues were able to sign players like Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Joao Felix in order to salvage at least a decent finish.

Another choice is to try to win the Champions League, which will start up again in one week.

Despite his recent bad performance, many sources say that the owners of the business still support Potter.

Falk, on the other hand, said that they had talked about whether or not hiring Flick might help their chances.

Some people think that Chelsea might decide to switch from Potter to Flick.

He was quoted as saying, “I heard that Hansi Flick was suggested as a possible replacement for Graham Potter.” I know there were rumors when he was seen at Chelsea’s game against Fulham at Stamford Bridge, but the truth is that he was there to watch Kai Havertz play.

“Chelsea kept trying to sign Flick when Marina Granovskaia worked for the team. Hansi Flick also told me that talks with Tottenham were still going on at the time, but that he had decided to become the national team trainer (Germany head coach).

“But instead of Todd Boehly himself, a middleman went to see Hansi Flick at this point. When I asked Flick about it, he didn’t answer. Since it would have been easy for him to say it wasn’t true, you can tell there is something there. Hansi Flick can’t do this, though, because he wants to lead Germany at the European Championships in 2024, which will be held in Germany.

Flick has a lot of experience both at home and around the world. In 2020, he won the Champions League with Bayern Munich. He also has a lot of club soccer experience.

Based on how he did before, it’s likely that Potter will get at least the rest of the season to try to make things right.
