Chelsea wants to terminate the contract of £35 Million flop at Stamford Bridge

Fabrizio Romano says that Chelsea is trying to get out of paying Tiemoue Bakayoko by getting him out of his contract. The player is in talks to join the Turkish club Adana Demirspor. He hasn’t played for Chelsea since 2018. The Blues are waiting for permission to end Tiemoue Bakayoko’s contract before they can do so.

The decision and final say rests with Bakayoko

As part of his Daily Briefing on CaughtOffside, Romano said that Chelsea’s ultimate goal was for Bakayoko to leave Stamford Bridge. Romano was saying what CaughtOffside thought. But since both parties must agree to end the contract early, the club must first get the player’s permission to do so.

After the French team won the Ligue 1 title in 2017, Chelsea bought Bakayoko for 35 million pounds. Even though the midfielder played 43 times for the blues that season, he had a hard time in the Premier League. His bad performance and a subsequent red card in Chelsea’s 4-1 loss to Watford was the last straw that made the club decide to let him go.

The last time the Frenchman played a competitive game for the Blues was in the 2018 FA Cup Final, which his team won 1-0 against Manchester United.

Bakayoko loans

For the next four seasons, Bakayoko played on loan for another team while he looked for a permanent move. There were loans to AC Milan, Napoli, and Monaco, the team he used to play for. Milan and Monaco both had the chance to buy, but neither club decided to do so.

He has felt a lot of different things while on loan. During his first time with the Rossoneri, he was always one of the first players on the field. He also played a lot for his other two hosts.

In 2021, when Milan won the Scudetto for the first time in eleven years, he started his second stint with the club. But he only started five of the 14 games he played in the season before. He also made fewer total appearances. This whole season, his manager Stefano Pioli hasn’t let him play for even one minute.

Bakayoko has six months left on his contract with Chelsea, and it is likely that he will leave the team at the end of the season. Adana Demirspor wants to sign him before the end of his contract with Chelsea.

Benjamin Stambouli and Gokhan Inler, who used to play for Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur, are now on the roster for Demirspor. Demirspor is currently in sixth place in the Super Lig.

Early this week, there were rumours that Bakayoko and the Turkish team had made a deal. Gianluca Di Marzio said that Bakayoko would decide his future in the next few days, even though he didn’t have a contract.
