Chelsea eyes Malo Gusto, a 19-year-old Ligue 1 defender from Lyon

It’s possible that a Lyon gem will continue his story in the Premier League. Ligue 1 would send a talented young defender to Chelsea.

Since they have only officially signed one player, Olympique Lyonnais is having trouble opening their winter transfer window. Dejan Lovren was the only person who came to help Laurent Blanc’s team. The coach of the offensive line is still waiting for more experienced players to show up. Lyon should have gotten rid of a few current players and brought in a few new ones before the winter transfer window closes.

Players whose contracts are about to end, like Jérôme Boateng, Houssem Aouar, and maybe even Moussa Dembélé, could leave the team. The same is true of Karl Toko Ekambi, who is still under contract with Lyon until 2024 but is more popular with the team’s fans. In addition to these experienced players, an English team may want to bring in a young Lyon player. Malo Gusto is wanted by the Blues.

Malo Gusto could get an offer from Chelsea

Malo Gusto is getting noticed by the London club. Even though Chelsea is in tenth place in the Premier League after a terrible season, they are making progress in the transfer market. Just by adding six new players this winter, the Blues have already made their team better. So, Graham Potter might be happy to have this person join the blues squad. The young OL defender is a cheaper alternative for the Blues. The sports magazine says that the final price could be as much as 20 million euros.

The OL management would give a lot of thought to the possibility that Malo Gusto would leave the club the following summer. Laurent Blanc’s team now only has the 19-year-old full-back, who plays right back in professional games. He has started all 15 games he has played this season in Ligue 1. He has also helped out once. Newcastle United, which is in third place in the Premier League, and Chelsea may both want to buy Malo Gusto.
