Mykhaylo Mudryk to Arsenal is almost a done deal, a fee has been agreed and negotiations reach the final stage

Mykhaylo Mudryk is expected to move to north London this January, and it looks like a deal has been made for the Ukrainian star. Edu was able to bid more than other teams, like Chelsea, for Mudryk.

Rudy Galetti, a TV host, says that Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk have made a financial deal that will let Arsenal get the much-wanted winger Mykhaylo Mudryk. The Ukrainian club and the Gunners are said to be in the “final stages” of talks about a possible deal for the 22-year-old star.

Before the transfer window in January, Shakhtar, which is known for being aggressive in negotiations, put an £88.7 million (€100 million) price tag on his signing. They supposedly used the transfer fees paid for players like Manchester City’s Jack Grealish and Manchester United’s Antony to figure out how much Mudryk was worth. Arsenal made two bids for the player at the end of December and the beginning of January. The first bid was around £55 million, but both were turned down.

Since then, the striker has given a few hints, like posts on social media and interviews with the media, that he will soon be at the Emirates Stadium. Mudryk told CBS that he sometimes dreams of playing in the Premier League, which is related to a possible transfer during this window.

“I would guess that every guy wants to play in the Premier League. Arsenal has a very skilled team, and their manager is also very smart. I like to see them fight. Yes, it would be hard for me to say no to the transfer, I can’t because I don’t have full control over the decision.”

The manager of Shakhtar, Darijo Srna, was seen going to Stamford Bridge to meet with the people in charge of Chelsea. Since then, rumours have spread that Chelsea wants to sign the Shakhtar player. Even so, Mudryk has always seemed to have his sights set on Arsenal, and a move to that team is almost done.

Galetti says that the total amount agreed upon is between €85 million (£75 million) and €90 million (£80 million). The remaining fixed and add-on costs are now being taken into account. But the Gunners will try to get a deal done soon because they have some big games coming up in the next few weeks.
