Antony Signifies An Important Change Made By Erik Ten Hag After Joining Manchester United

Antony has revealed that Erik ten Hag’s training at Manchester United is significantly more “tough” than the ones he ran at Ajax.

Ten Hag coached the Brazilian for just over two and a half years at Amsterdam until the Dutchman was persuaded to move to Old Trafford this summer to replace Ralf Rangnick. Negotiations with Ajax for the sought-after forward were anything but simple once Ten Hag determined that the team needed offensive reinforcements. However, signing Antony quickly rose to the top of the priority list.

After a few weeks of adjusting to life in Manchester with his former boss, Antony has already noticed a significant shift in Ten Hag’s behaviour.

In order for the winger’s training to reflect the intensity of the Premier League, the new Old Trafford manager has made significant changes. This is a challenge that Antony was mentally prepared for prior to his high-paying switch.

During the international break, he told Manchester United’s official website that Training is really different, but he would be psychologically prepared for it. Antony also said that since he always followed the Premier League, he was aware of how intense it would be and he trained hard and prepared extensively because he was aware of how intense the games would be. He also wanted to be at 100% as soon as possible.

According to Antony they have gotten to know one another and developed an understanding to get to this level and improve their game because the club is a fantastic squad. He continued to say that game by game, they are getting to know one another better so that this harmony may flow and everything works out.

The lively winger’s manager was certain that he would have no trouble adjusting to the demands of the Premier League after moving from the Eredivisie, so Antony’s remarks would not likely satisfy him.

Earlier this month, Ten Hag told Sky Sports that upon the confirmation of his arrival, Antony had proven himself already to the Brazilian national team, Champions League, and Olympic gold medallist. He said that many of the players in Brazil are extremely gifted and Antony can handle the strain, and also that we can choose two or three teams and Antony will provide his temperament and originality.
