Arsenal replaces Raphinha with another Brazilian from Olympique Lyon

The Brazilian international winger has said he wants to play for Barcelona, so Arsenal has given up on their pursuit of signing him and replaced him with Paqueta.
Like the other players FC Barcelona has signed, Raphinha’s signing has turned into a problem for other clubs. Arsenal has given up on trying to sign the player because it’s common knowledge that he wants to play for the Catalan club.
Even though Lucas Paquetá is a countryman, Mikel Arteta and the rest of the arsenal’s board have decided to set another goal for themselves instead of for the winger for Leeds.

Arteta makes Paqueta a priority
Even though Paquetá and Raphinha play different positions and have different skills, the London team’s new target is the Olympique de Lyon midfielder. Raphinha and Paquetá are both on teams, but not the same one. Paquetá has been an important player for Lyon this year. He has played in 43 games for the team. He has scored 11 goals and set up seven others while mostly playing the midfielder position.
Arsenal has been keeping an eye on the Brazilian for a while, and now it looks like they will make an offer for him. Even though Newcastle has already signed Bruno Guimaraes, who played in the middle of the field with Paquetá at Olympique de Lyon, they have been keeping an eye on him. The Brazilian player was traded to Lyon from AC Milan in 2020 for 20 million euros, but the French club Olympique Lyon is confident in their claims and doesn’t want to sell the player for less than 50 million euros.
Arteta wants more
Despite the fact that he already has many top players such as Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinell in his team he still wants Paqueta to join the club so he has a better guarantee on his midfield Paris Saint-Germain also seemed like a possible future home for 24-year-old Lucas Paquetá, who is a good player and is friends with Neymar, with whom he has played in the Brazilian team more than 30 times. Paquetá has been on the field for more than 30 games with Neymar.
Because he is Brazilian and his contract is up in 2024, Arsenal would not have to compete with any other teams to get him. This is because the clubs that opened after him haven’t made any move yet. The Spanish coach’s second choice is Paquetá, the Brazilian is not the first choice but since his first choice Raphinha has agreed to Barca then he prefers Paqueta on his team.
