It’s not the first time that Balde has caught the eye of Chelsea. Balde’s reputation as a talented winger with a bright future comes from the fact that he is both technically and physically strong. Chelsea asked Alejandro Balde if he was available to play at Stamford Bridge in the winter of 2020 and in the summer of the year before.
Barca wants Alonso and Azpilicueta
Chelsea is interested in the young left-back who plays for Barcelona. This comes at the same time that Barcelona is trying to sign left-wing defender Marcos Alonso, who plays for Chelsea. Marcos is signed with Chelsea until 2023, but Barca is thinking about making a move to sign him so they can get a player who can compete with Jordi Alba.
In the same way, they want César Azpilicueta 32, whose contract ended this summer but was automatically renewed because he played more than 30 games for Thomas Tuchel’s team. For this club, Azpilicueta would play on the right-wing. Balde, for his part, is under contract with Barcelona until 2024, and if the deal is broken early, he can then be sold for certain amounts.
The player has two more years left on his contract, but at age 18, he wants to play more often for Barca’s first team after sitting on the bench for most of the previous season. So, he has already told Barca that if they don’t want him on the first team, he would rather want to leave the club.
